Employers - Would you like to meet tomorrows engineers, scientists and construction managers?

Would you like to meet tomorrows engineers, scientists and construction managers?

We are planning our Interconnect events for next academic year (October 2010 to February 2011). Would you and your company like to support us? We offer great opportunities to meet and support tomorrows engineers, scientists, construction managers, software engineers ............ while raising your profile within universities and colleges.

Events you can get involved with:

"What Employers Want Workshops" - a two to three hour workshop for women students examining a company's recruitment process, giving hints and tips on how to apply and the opportunity to practice interview techniques. Last year we ran sessions with ExxonMobil and HarveyNash, and would like to build on this success with a wider range of companies..

"Meet the Professionals" networking lunches - sector-focused lunches held in universities where students network with women working in their field (from both academia and industry). This year we plan to hold lunches for Life Sciences, Built Environment, Engineering and Computing.

Site Visits: New for 2010 - we would like to offer students the opportunity to visit sites and work premises and meet women professionals in their work environment.

The students and qualified women who participated in our events last year, got a lot out of them:
‘Very worthwhile - I wish this had been available when I was a young engineer'
‘I know now what to face in the real world after graduation'
‘It has given me more confidence in working in the oil and gas industry'
‘fun, informative and valuable experience'
‘structured and informative...something I would definitely want to do again.'
