Employer Zone

We are passionate about raising the profile of women working in science, engineering, technology and the built environment.

Interconnect will help to raise the awareness of female students of the opportunities open to them as they start their careers.

We want to work in partnership with employers and women working in these fields. If you would like to support Interconnect and have a chance to interact with interested and committed students then please get in touch.

Getting involved and supporting Interconnect can benefit you in many ways:

Employers:

  • Raise your profile as a business and an employer
  • Enhance publicity and PR
  • Attract new employees and builtd connections with students
  • Demonstrate your commitment to equal opportunities and workplace diversity

Women working in Science, Engineering, Technology and the Built Environment:

  • Help other women at the beginning of their careers
  • Networking opportunities
  • Raise your own profile

How to support Interconnect

We invite companies to

  • Provide site visits for Interconnect student groups
  • Enable female employees to support Interconnect activities
  • Sponsor Interconnect regional and national events

Logos of sponsoring companies feature prominently on our home page.

If you are a woman working in science, engineering, technology or the built environment, then you could get involved in Interconnect by:

  • Talking to women students about your job and your career
  • Inviting a woman student to shadow you at work for a day
  • Providing information about your career for a case study
  • Helping to support a group at a college or university
  • Promoting Interconnect at your professional networks

For more information on any of the above then please contact Allison Johnstone at info@interconnect.org.uk

We look forward to hearing from you!
