Interconnect is a new organisation, formed in 2009. We are developing a network across Scotland for women studying science, engineering, technology and the built environment. We will help students to develop personal networks, build links with industry and enhance their career prospects. We want to raise the profile of women studying and working in these fields.
To achieve this Interconnect works with students, students associations, colleges and universities to develop and support Interconnect groups and activities. This website is about helping make that happen.
Through Interconnect events and support from our website, facebook group and Twitter account we aim to provide women students with opportunities to
- meet qualified women working in their subjects
- meet with other female science, engineering, technology & built environment students
- develop their CV and employability
- promote science, engineering, technology and the built environment to younger students
- be kept up to date with news and events in their field
Interconnect is a partnership between The Scottish Resource Centre for Women in SET and NUS Scotland and is funded by the Scottish Funding Council.
Interconnect is hosted by Edinburgh Napier University.
